Carmel Organics has been certified organic by Lacon India Pvt Limited, Subsidary of Lacon agency based in Germany. The certification process is extremely stringent and covers all aspects of organic farming and production of organic products including the packaging methods, storage of raw materials and finished goods to prevent mixing with conventional products. The treatment method is used to prevent contamination whereas sampling and analysis methods are used for checking purity of the products.
While certifying plantations and farms Lacon looks at the field specification, the crops that are being grown, the crop cycles being followed, the quality of seeds used, the date of sowing and harvesting and the yield estimate per hectare, to name a few parameters that are taken into consideration.
It also takes into consideration the storage facility, the handling unit, processing machine, packing methodology, transportation criteria, etc. The entire lifecycle of an Organic food product, right from the farms to fork, is checked for accuracy and standards. All this precision ensures that when you buy a certified organic product, your trust on the seal is never compromised.
